बाहर रहता हूं, घर से दूर, अजनबियों के साथ। है कुछ दोस्त, जिन्हें अपना कह सकूँ, पर घर तो घर होता है।  जब भी छुट्टियाँ होती है, घर जाने का खयाल आता है । अंदर एकदम से खुशी की लहर उठ जाती है। पता होता है घर पर कुछ करना नहीं है, बस आराम करना है, सुस्ताना है और समय बर्बाद ही करना है। बावजूद इसके घर तो जाना है। कभी कभी तो सोचता हूं घर न जाऊँ। घर जाकर करूँगा भी क्या, यहीं पर रुकता हूँ, बचा हुआ काम खत्म कर लेता हूं। यहां रहूंगा तो आगे के काम को भी जल्दी से शुरू कर सकूंगा ताकि वक़्त आने पर सब संभालने में आसानी होगी । मगर एक खयाल जब आता है, तब सारी दुविधाओं का अंत हो जाता है। घर जाने पर माँ से मिलूंगा । यही खयाल काफी है सब कुछ छोड़ छाड़ कर घर लौट जाने के लिए। आज भी जब घर को जाता हूं, सबसे पहले माँ को ढूंढता हूँ। वैसे तो जब मालूम होता है कि मैं घर आने वाला हूं तो राह ताके इंतज़ार में रहती है, लेकिन जब बिना बताए जाता हूं तो हर कमरे में, रसोई में हर जगह ढूंढता हूँ कि माँ कहां है। माँ के मिलने पर ही चैन आता और बाकी कोई काम किया जाता है। एक बात तो ज़रूर है, जब माँ दिख जाती है तो सफर का सा...

​तू दूर रहे, या पास रहे खुश रहे, उदास रहे। चेहरे को पढ़ लेगी वो महसूस भी कर लेगी वो। दुनिया से छिपा सकता है तू दुनिया को भुला सकता है तू हर दर्द, अपनी परेशानियां माँ से न छुपा सकता है तू वो जानती है, आहटें तेरी दिल में छुपे बातें तेरी जो किसी से न कह पायेगा वो भी माँ को ज़रूर बतलायेगा दुनिया जहां मुंह मोड़ भी ले पर साथ तेरा न छोड़ेगी हर इल्जाम तेरे और ज़िम्मेदारियाँ  वक़्त आने पर, अपने सिर पर भी ले लेगी। वो माँ ही है जिसके आगे  हर ताकत झुक जाती है वो माँ है जिसके कदमों पर जन्नत के रास्ते रुक जाते हैं। माँ पर अब क्या लिखूं। हम अगर शब्द है तो वो पुरी परिभाषा है माँ की यही परिभाषा है। दवा असर न करे तो नज़र उतारती है, वो माँ है जनाब, वो कहाँ हार मानती है। आप सभी को मातृ दिवस पर बहुत बधाइयां |                                                                ~RV ...

अंत का आरंभ है कैसा ये प्रारम्भ है मनुष्यता की आड़ में ये दृश्य कितना दम्भ है  ​ जल रहा मनुष्य है कैसा ये रहस्य है भागता है खोज में जिसके भूल कर ये हास्य है वर्तमान भूल कर कर चुका दशा है अपनी ज़िन्दगी का सुख भूला कर अर्थ की माला है जपनी आज है वो कल नही है भागता तू बाद जिसके जो गलत वो न सही कर तेरे हर काज संभलके एक दिन वो दूर नही न तो तू रह जायेगा न तेरा कुछ बच पायेगा वो कर्म तेरे और यादें ही लोगों में बस जाएगा सौभाग्य नही रोज़ जागती है न जीवन बाहों में रोज़ नापती है पड़े जिधर तेरी दृष्टि बस हँस उठे सारी सृष्टि कुछ ऐसा तू कर दिखा मनुष्यता का लाभ उठा होकर निर्भय  कर काज अजय हर नक्षत्र तुझे सोहराएगा कण कण धरती का सिंचाएगा जब अंत तेरा हो जाएगा                                                        ~RV

क्षितिज   दूर कहीं अनंत में मिल जाते हैं  आसमान और ज़मीन दायरों को तोड़ कर एक समस्त ब्रह्मांड को दूसरा लम्हों को जोड़ कर चाहे वो डूबता हो या फिर वो हो उगता सूरज की लालिमा आंखों को वश में कर लेती है न जाने कैसे प्रश्नों के उत्तर ढूंढने  अक्सर ये दुनिया उस क्षितिज को निहारती है  एक ख्वाब सा है वो एक अलग ही अंदाज़ है उसका किसी कलाकार के चित्र के जैसे प्रेमिका के मुख के जैसा देखते ही रहने का मन करता है उस डूबते आकाश के संग डूबने के मन करता है सागर की गहराइयों में  खो जाने का मन करता है ये कैसी माया है उसकी जो मोह लेता है आत्मा को लाल, बैंगनी, नारंगी, पीला हर रंग ले चलता है सांत्वना को भूल जाता हूं कभी कभी मानो दुनिया से परे हूँ मैं जैसे सारी दुनिया मुझमे बसती है और उसके दायरे में हूँ मैं  यूँ ही बैठे हुए मेरे सामने कुछ देखता हूं जैसे जैसे सूरज क्षितिज में ढलता है मेरे नज़रों के सामने, सारी परेशानियाँ भूलकर, प्रकृति के फ़िल्म को चलते हुए देखता हूँ। इस अनिश्चित जीवन में एक यही तो निश्चित लगता है अनंत तक फैला हुआ  यह क्षितिज ही सुनिश्चित लगता है।   ...
